How Does It Feel?

How does it feel to lost a best friend? How does it feel when that best friend was the only person you really felt you could rely on, but your trust was broken and couldn't easily be fixed? How does it feel to be alone or abandoned? How does it feel to be rejected and alone because of who you are, or because you feel you're completely ignored or people keep talking over you? How does it feel, when nobody seems to miss you? How does it feel when people don't even notice you're gone? How does it feel when your family seems to be falling apart? How does it feel when everyone keeps yelling at each other or trying to change each other? How does it feel to be judged? How does it feel when people you don't even know look at you with complete disgust because of the way you look, or the way you seem to act, or the color of your skin, or the type of Religion you are part of?

Joshua 1:9 says: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Whenever I feel troubled or down, like the weight of the world has been crushing on my shoulders and there's no escaping it, I turn to my Lord. He's there for me without fail, whether He takes His time with answering my prayers, or whether He's yelling the answer in my ear...sometimes I have a hard time catching what it is He wants from me. It's easier for most people to sit down and take time to pour out their honest heart to God, than to listen for the answer. Most people take all the time in the world to sit and talk to God, and figure out what it is they're supposed to do right then and there. But have you ever taken time to sit still and listen for the answer from Him? It's not easy. But it's worth it.

How do you feel when you help somoene? How do you feel when you take time out of your own life, for the sake of someone else, to change their world? How does it feel to make someone happy? How does it feel when you see that smile spread across their face and the joy come to their eyes when you give them that simple compliment, say "Hey" or smile their way? How does it feel to worship the Lord? How does it feel to fill yourself with His love and Grace, to fall to your knees and want nothing more in the world to give your heart to Him and cry out in joy? How does it feel when you're loved? How does it feel when you know you have a warm embrace around you no matter what, and someone is always holding your hand?

God can be there to love you, and carry you through your worst times. And if He doesn't answer you, don't give up, because He always has something to say. You just have to listen.
